More recently I get comments from people along the lines of ‘ You are so content’, ‘You seem to have it together all the time’ ‘You seem so happy’
In all honesty, I haven’t always been this happy and at peace with myself and the world.
Why did I start ‘Racing for Bliss’?
The reason I started reading, researching, and writing about happiness was that I desperately wanted joy and peace for myself. I wanted a life where no matter what was thrown at me, I was going to remain content, happy, and peaceful.
It became scary when I discovered that even as my life became better on paper (fantastic job, family, societal ties) I still felt that I could do much better with my mental well-being. With success came more things to worry about; more anxiety; more hustle thereby increasing the chaos in my life.
Let me share with you everything I have learned about living a blissful life
It has been about 5 years since I started this RACING FOR BLISS journey.
I have read over 30 books on Happiness and Peace written by the top researchers and best-selling authors that have ever lived.
I have experimented with every concept- gratitude list keeping, journaling, meditation, just to name a few.
And most have worked.
I have also been documenting my happiness journey during this time and I can say I am significantly happier and more at peace now than at any other time in my life.
My life has changed for the better, and yours can change too
Now, I feel like I am in the driver’s seat of my life. I am in control of my emotions and things don’t just happen to me unless I let them.
I am still a work in progress surely, maybe even having a long way to go- but I am excited at the prospect of using all that I have learned so far in tackling whatever challenges may come in the future.
YOU TOO CAN BE HAPPY!!!
